"Great tour, highly recommend. In four hours, saw so many highlights of DC. No way we could have done all that ourselves. All the places we stopped have parking for the tour companies that is very close to the monuments and memorials. So a short walk from the van and you're there. I was concerned at first by reading the itinerary, that the stops were pretty short. In actuality, the stop time at each one was just right. No one in our group felt rushed, or like we needed to go back to any of them to spend more time. The vans were modern and comfortable with good A/C on a warm day. The smaller size tour was nice and our guide, Dustin was very good. One other benefit of the smaller group size is that you don't waste a lot of time loading and unloading like on a big bus with 50 people. We could load and off load in about 60 seconds. More time touring and less time waiting!"

"Booked the night tour for the first evening we were in Washington DC. We arrived at meeting place to be greeted by our driver as well as the tour guide. What a wonderful informative experience for my party of three. We appreciated the small group individuality. The driver Kareem as well as tour guide Andrew Evans took the time to answer all questions for my nine year one grandson. They were very cautious when driving, provided water, device charging, and gave so much info at each stop. They allowed plenty of time to explore and even took photos of guests in front of the sites. The tour lasted over 3 hours. The tour guide would walk around with each small group etc., while the driver waited close by ready for pick up. Very impressed with details provided including personal stories and his love for his job and each monument. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting a tour of DC."

"Amazing tour for anyone who wants a personal and fun look at the monuments of DC. Our driver Steve was professional all around and got us across the city safely, and our guide, Kory, was really fun and obviously passionate about the area’s history. I was not looking for a deeply sanitized tour with guides who sound like they’re reading off of plaques at the monuments, and fortunately that’s not what I got. I recommend this bus tour for those who like to ask deeper questions about the Capitol’s history and get immediate answers, those who want something beyond the typical tourist experience, and those who want to be truly guided through DC and its intricacies rather than simply taken to photo-ops. Excellent experience all around!"

"What an amazing tour. They cover not only the key attractions but give a great history lesson of DC. They point out many points of interest including Ford’s Theater, FBI building, Arlington cemetery and more. Our guide adjusted the tour on the fly to avoid large groups at other spots and even added FDR memorial as a bonus. You really get a personal feel and such a great team guiding us around. This is a must see to check off a large amount of attractions in 4 hours. Worth. Every. Penny."

"We took the four hour tour last week with Steve and Edrick. It was the highlight of our trip to DC! Steve, a history buff, spewed so much information and fun facts at us...off the beatin' path stuff that you would never get with a larger tour. I can't tell you how many times I've remarked, 'I learned from Steve...' or 'Steve said...' at the beginning of a sentence when talking about our trip. And, bonus, he's a retired bartender, so he can also give you great tips on where to go for a beverage in DC! Fantastic! Edrick kept us comfortable and safe the entire ride. I will recommend to anyone who is headed to DC. Money well spent! Thank you!"

It depends on your schedule but to see the city in action mornings are good time to begin from 9 and 10AM or afternoons from 2PM to 5PM. Of course, there will be traffic during the day as commuters come and leave town. Also, there is always the possible motorcade or protest.

In the evenings the city settles down and the monuments are spectacular lit up against the night sky. For our evening tours we suggest starting no later than 8PM. As with daylight tours, there is always a chance of motorcades or protests.

We can design a tour with very little walking or with miles of walking!  Just let us know how much walking your group would enjoy and we will get back to you with a draft agenda within a day or two.

About Washington DC and the National Mall

Washington D.C., the capital city of the United States, is a treasure trove of history and culture, inviting visitors to explore its significant landmarks and institutions. At the heart of the city lies the National Mall, a verdant, two-mile-long expanse that stretches from the U.S. Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial. As one ventures through the National Mall, they are met with an array of awe-inspiring monuments and memorials, each thoughtfully designed to honor the lives and sacrifices of those who have shaped the nation. The towering presence of the Washington Monument stands as a testament to the country’s first president, while the noble statue of Abraham Lincoln at the Lincoln Memorial watches over the reflecting pool. Visitors can also pay tribute to the heroes and visionaries who have left an indelible mark on America’s history at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and countless other sites, each offering a moment of reflection and inspiration.
